The range

Toor (pigeon peas)
Toor is the Hindi name for pigeon peas: white and red whole toor from East Africa in season, and toor dal split and polished in India.
Kabuli chickpeas
Bold white kabuli chickpeas, sized by count to contract.
Desi chickpeas (kala chana)
Small brown desi chickpeas, whole, for kala chana, besan milling and splitting into chana dal.
Chana dal
Split desi chickpeas (Bengal gram), milled and polished to your specification.
Lentils
Whole red lentils (masoor) and green lentils, plus split masoor dal, graded to contract.
Urad (black gram)
Whole black urad and split urad dal, with or without skin.
Black eye beans
Cleaned at our own facility in Madagascar before export.
Red kidney beans
Dark and light red kidney beans, sized and sorted to contract.
White kidney beans
White kidney (cannellini-type) beans, machine cleaned, hand-sorted where the contract calls for it.
Lima beans
Butter (lima) beans bought against the season from whichever origin is trading best.
Yellow peas
Whole yellow peas, machine cleaned and sized, for canning, snacks, dal and flour milling.

Pulses are a seasonal, weather-driven crop. Being at origin means buying when the crop is right rather than when a trader offers it on.

Good to know
When is the best time to buy East African pulses?
Tanzanian mung beans, pigeon peas and chickpeas are bought through their harvest seasons. Talk to us early — being on the ground lets us lock positions when the crop is right.
Can you hand-sort beans?
Yes. Lima and white beans in particular can be hand-sorted where the contract calls for it, on top of machine cleaning and grading.
What is your minimum order?
One full container load — typically 20–27 MT in a 40ft container depending on the commodity and packing. Mixed containers can be discussed for regular buyers.
Which Incoterms and payment terms do you work on?
FOB, CFR and CIF to any major port, and ex-works Dubai. Payment by letter of credit at sight or usance, cash against documents, or telegraphic transfer for established buyers.
Which documents come with a shipment?
Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, phytosanitary and fumigation certificates, certificate of analysis and weight, and health or halal certificates where your port requires them — plus container photographs and seal numbers.
