What is the difference between 1121 sella and 1121 steam?
Sella is parboiled in the husk, giving a harder, golden (or white) grain that stays separate in bulk cooking. Steam rice is steamed before milling: whiter than sella and softer, with less breakage than raw rice.
How long is 1121 basmati rice?
1121 is the longest commercially traded basmati: 8 mm and above before cooking, and it roughly doubles in length when cooked.
